All numbers were from the Shaw website, but a few years ago.
I have no idea why companies like to change around their phone numbers, especially for something like technical support, where you might write down the phone number so it's around when your internet breaks and you can't look up the most recent number.

Collect call atomated service from Saskatel?
I live in British Columbia I have a friend that calls me from Saskatoon collect thru a Saskatel operator when I was on Telus I could recieve his calls but now that I've switched over to Shaw phone he cannot get thru using an operator, apparently the only way is if he uses the atomated service. Does anyone know how my friend can access the ATOMATED service in Saskatoon in order to call me collect? Thank you!

Shaw is a horrible company I didn't mind them untill my Internet kept coming and going now I'm trying to watch a movie and won't let me access my vod tells me to call this number and give them a code but I've been a hold for far to long with annoying annoying music!!!!!!! I seriously can't stand it!!!! I hold the music to my stomach so that my baby may here since I'm 6 months pregnant she moves from it even my un born baby doesn't like there crappy music!!! And she always gets closer anyways sorry for my rat I had no Problem with Telus but I switched to shaw cuz my parents loved it but they say that cuz theyvw never been the one on hold! I'm still on hold!!! Seriously I am so diappointted!!!!!
HD movies
This is the second movie now that I paid for that was supposed to be HD quality. When I called today I was asked stupid questions like do you have an HD TV and a HD PVR blah blah or box?? Yes I do and this is the second movie I have paid for that has not been in HD. hmmmmmmm. I was told to call the first few minutes of movie or I would not get a credit. Yah I know I love the idea of planning my saturday night on hold for multiple minutes with Shaw so I can get my dam 2.00 dollars back!! what a bunch of crap.....
Here"s a tip Shaw. If the movie is not filmed in HD then you are falsely advertising and misleading your customers. Its illegal to misrepresent what you are selling.
When I asked the Rep today what was going on, he said he did not know but would credit me a movie which I was unable to find on my Shaw demand so would not be surprised if I did not get a credit. Really not happy.

Your old anti-virus (f-secure) crashed without giving me any indicators that it had stopped working. I ended up having to format my machine because of a leak this caused at a webpage I had regularly visited, with no apparent issues. This was a page containing older tv show episodes, nothing "dangerous".
Now I've downloaded your new anti virus, used up the trial period and can find no way to get a product key code for a service thats supposed to be included with my service. Phoning to talk to someone results in bad music for 4+ hours, cruel and unussual punishment is technically a crime in Canada.
Trying to navigate your webpages is an exercise in futility as well, as it is simply a circle jerk.
I pay for service, I expect service!! But I obviously can't get it from shaw, that company that can't!!

What can I say .... on hold ..... if small business offered this level of service, they would be bankrupt in weeks. Shaw spends hundrds of thousands of dollars to get your business and then you sign up and crap ... guess they have not heard it takes 10 times the money to get a new customers as it does to maintain one. Spend some money on customer service guys and you will not have to spend millions on advertising for new customes. Hell....I can go on for hours here because I am still on hold and dont think they will answer before I crash for the night in 5 or 6 hours.
Telephone
At the moment I cannot call out - when I pick up the phone - I get a busy signal. Earlier today - everything went haywire. The TV turned on - my computer went off and now my phone is not working. Also my stereo turned on by itself. Strange things.
Also on Friday night we rented a movie for our grandchildren - Ice Age - Meltdown - it stopped about 25 minutes before the end of the movie. When I called Shaw to find out the problem - I was told there was a FOUR (4) hour wait - unbelievable. This type of service is unacceptable. Please check into this as we are not prepared to pay for this movie - now we are having issues with our phone - what is happening at your end? Please advise. We cannot afford to sit on the phone for 4 hours - something needs to happen or you will be losing a lot of customers.

Frustrated
So much time wasted listening to an automated machine trying to get tech support for my tv. When i finally figured out the code i was told i would get a call back after 2 hours. Not happy.. Will now look into other options.
Digital tv
Have been on hold on the phone for over 1 hour waiting for some support as I have nothing on all my tv channels currently. Have gone through all the steps on the web page to trouble shoot. . . nothing works. All "ask Amy" does is repeat the trouble shooting steps so no new info there. Whatever happened to the option of being called back by Shaw rather than waiting listenng to horrible elevator music and ads for what great service Shaw supposedly provides. This is garbage.
Contacting Shaw for technical issues
Just an FYI. Worked in technical department with Shaw. Best way to get service or response is to call or attend your Shaw local office. Technicians and Maintenance techs are available from 7:30 am to 8 am in the office.
If necessary ask for the Supervisor or Manager of Technical Operations in that office. If any member of management will not see you or talk to you ask for the phone number and employee ID of the manager and or supervisor.
All members of management teams have work numbers and cell phone numbers and are required to give those numbers to Shaw customers. Shaw's privacy policy clearly states that customers have the right to ask for full name, ID number and work phone numbers of any of their employees who access your information or account.
You can also call the technician on your receipt for installations as the tech is required to give full name and number for you to use. The cell phone number will get a good response as well.
After calling the management team, repeatedly if necessary you will get the response that you want. Using these numbers will indicate to Shaw Cable Head Office that the call centers are not doing their jobs competently and consistently, and perhaps the company will pay attention and change the poor service responses. Call centers can lose their contracts with Shaw if poor performance is the norm rather than the exception.
Everyone knows that customers run the businesses not the other way around. So try my suggestions and good luck!
land phone
my land phone is not working so no one can reach me at 403-271-3849 and I have revenue property advertized for rent with my land phone number. Shaw please fix my phone line. I cannot call Shaw as my line is not working and when I tried to call Shaw June 30th pm I was on the line for over 20 minutes with no response. This is an Urgent need.
