Today I had a number of questions about my cell phone account.
The lady I was talking to in customer service was rude, sarcastic
and hung up on me. The comment she said ( you bought one of those fancy dancy Iphones so you have to pay for it.)
I don't have an Iphone, I have a Blackberry. same thing she said. CLICK.
This is not customer service, it is MTS service.

MTS

MTS thinks that they do not have to be accountable to customers. I have been with MTS for probably 40 years now. Recently I got behind in my bill. Though I am late with payment on occasion, my phone bill has never gone to collections. MTS cut my cell phone off for the weekend. No possibility of contacting them.There was a snow store that weekend and I just got out of surgery for cancer. . .nice. Once contract is done I will not use them again. So much for loyalty to customers.

MTS Wireless service worst in industry

The service is so bad I cna;t even maintain a connection.

Customer service (techncial support) doesn't care and just tells me to call someone else at MTS.

Then I wait on hold for 2 hours and tell me how important my call is.

Then they do nothing to fix the techncial problem other than to tell me they have too much "congestion" and are working to fix it - for two years now.

Looking for other options. Good thing I sold the MTS stock when iot peaked, it is relatively worthless now anyway.

I have a wireless phone with mts, and I was behind on my payments I admit but, I am 18.. Full time school .. Part time job. I allowed my phone to be disconnected for a while so I can save up to pay for it. I call and see if I can arrange payments, and the people were so rude. MTS and MB Health Number

I was disconnected by MTS today because I didn't want to fax over a copy of my Manitoba Health number. I feel this is personal information that has nothing to do with a cellular service. I was told my number was compromised (never provided one when I signed my contract, guy might have made one up??) and that they needed this information in order to insure my services continue. Talked to three or four customer service people who didn't think it was a huge deal but they cut me off today and would not reinstate my services until I provided a fax copy of my MB Health.
I can't wait for my contract to be finished (unfortunately 2.5 years to go, just signed a new one this summer) because I will never deal with MTS ever again. I talked to a supposed "Supervisor" who could not tell me why it was important for me to send this information or why they needed it. She actually implied that I was hiding something if I didn't provide it.
Stay away from MTS and their dictatorship!!

How does one call from a phone line that stopped working?

I looked up on-line for a contact email post and all it does is advertise..
I sent a note to MTS instructing them to send a message to one of their field techs, because my phone Line is not working?
I received a reply saying: (If this is an urgent Repair issue, please contact MTS at 611.)
It does not say how to contact them on a dead phone Line..
I am using another Internet provider to let them know my problem!

Access Fees

Access Fees have not been dropped. They just changed the name. I phoned them to ask what the Wls Network Charge is and they told me it replaces the Access Fee!

A letter sent to MTS

Hello, I am a bit confused as to why I am still paying a system access fee? As MTS is catching up with the rest of the world, I see you have eliminated the system access fee on newer plans. You felt no shame imposing NEW fees on my account this year, texting to the states and with the USA used to be free. I sure pay enough that it should be included. The continued system access fee only results in customer dissatisfaction and resentment and most defiantly result in poor customer retention. I am just dreaming of the day when my contract is up, the new fees imposed in my contract were not original when I signed up, I would appreciate a modification the other way of having my, ridiculously overpriced, system access fee removed.

wireless high speed internet in rural manitoba - beaconia

i have a usb for my mac os from mts ostensbily to receive highspeed wireless internet - at least that is what i am paying for. i receive dawdling, slow slow slow "highspeed" internet connection. i actually drive to a cafe in grand marais to get the full benefits of high speed. i don't use my usb connection but use his directly. since i have been receiving only partially what i am paying for i think it fair that my monthly fee be lowered by half and in fact i think i should be refunded for all the time i've had this "service".

You guys really need to start fixing all your problems. Every single day there is at least part of my day, if not all, that I can not call or text anyone and the same goes with everyone else on MTS in my area. Everyone I know is seriously thinking about switching over to Rogers. At least they dont have to deal with this retarded problem. Fix your issues or you will loose alot of customers!

Not so bad

Our cell service isn't so good. Can't get connection so well, but today when I call customer service to get a land line phone number changed, customer service very good, fast and friendly lady. Just wish there would put up a closer tower or more towers so we get reliable, not spotty, cell service in the country.

MTS runs a massive communication network, ever try to get someone on the phone from MTS? KInd of a joke isn't it.

When they screw up, it is up to us to phone them to try to fix their mistake, you had better have the day free because it will take hours to actually talk to a human.

And why are their so many tiers for pricing? Why wouldn't they just offer their best price to all customers instead of negotiating deals for service? If you do not know any better, they will rape you with costs. I feel like I am a tourist in a 3rd world country bartering for the best deal.

And cells phone should be illegal, they are the biggest rip off yet, all the hidden costs and terrible service. And if you live in the country, you are holding your hand on your ass waiting for high speed. The technology out there dose not work on dial up. Yes MTS is just a huge money grab...............

Mts buyout BS

My husband and I are on a "Buddy Plan". He lost his phone and since we both work, him out of town, and have two kids in daycare, we can't be unable to communicate. I've been an MTS cellular customer since 1996. I thought this would be worth something but boy was I ever wrong!Why on Earth should it cost me $400 to NOT go anywhere, NOT be switching networks, to be NOT even getting a free replacement phone (we went out of pocket in-store for that). It seems I've been stuck with the privellege of paying MTS to stay with their asshole company for even longer. Over the years my satisfaction with MTS cell service has gone way down and here's why. If the company charging you has the ability to see where the charges occur, ie internet use, then said company should have a responsibility to inform their customers directly of where they can save, ie, a $5 per month deal, especially if said company can see internet use, for example, is really racking up and putting a customer behind. MTS has always been happy to just take and take it seems. What I want is to have this ridiculous $400 fee for nothing dropped or if I am forced to pay it I want that to be considered my buyout, making me free to leave without ANY further financial penalty or dealings with MTS and I want that in writing and signed by someone in a position of authority within MTS(not one of those fast talking in store creeps). I think that's fair. I paid cash money to replace that phone and have been a cellular customer for over a decade. I had no plans to leave MTS befor this baloney charge that I don't understand, but I sure am leaving now!

Back in 2003, I had a cellular contract with MTS. I did get a little behind on my payments, but I did manage to get caught up. MTS lost the last couple of payments I made and cancelled my contract and then decided to charge me for their mistake. I attempted to call them and tell them, but the people on the other end were useless. Needless to say, I now have to deal with a collection agency who is threatening to garnish my wages (which I don't have right now because I am unemployed.) Since MTS cancelled my contract, I feel they need to suck it up and deal with it.

Mts Payments

MTS does lose my payment OFTEN. maybe close to 40% of the time, i usually send in an email with the refrence code from my online banking and they are prompt to fix it, but MTS still bites the big one. I shouldn't have to deal with 'lost payments'

It makes me sick to listen to people who cannot take responsibility for their own actions. Saying that MTS lost my payment. If a payment was ever made, you should have a receipt and that would of been proof of payment. If you can't supply a receipt then your payment was never made or it was made to another company. People now a days want service but don't want to pay for it. And of course they don't want to take responsibility for their own mistake so why not blame it on the company. You use the service, you pay for it. If you don't want to pay, then of course your account is sent to a collection agency. If you won't want that to happen...then pay your friggin bill. Am currently a mts customer, you should not have to prove you made a payment to the company, their accounting dept should be able to keep accurate records if you have to keep proving that a payment was made then it would appear that the company is not responsible in their record keeping and to me that says alot about them. I have mts high speed internet and every half hour it cuts out .It has done this many times in the past and is starting up again.My mts router died 4 times in 2 years.They cut me off for a bill of 63 bucks.WTF You must not spent much time on there but i down load alot of big files for gamming and it sucks when that happens.

About 2:25 this morning, our alarm system came on, and after checking all the contact points, I realized that there had not been a forced entry, so I shut off the alarm.
I tried to call my Alarm company, but the phone land lines were dead. I waited, and waited and waited for them to contact, but then I realized that they had no way of doing that either if the phone lines were down.
I have a car that has OnStar, so I decided to call MTS through that system, but after I got through I was asked to enter a certain number if I wanted a certain department. Alas that did not work, and therefore I was not able to make contact.
We do not have cell phone, so that was out of the question.

My thoughts were that maybe someone cut our telephone line, and was waiting to break into our home, so I was not/am not pleased with these facts.

So whom does one contact and how? I searched the MTS numbers The telephone directory does not indicate what line or person to call except 225-5687 or 611 and they both result in "If you want ( a certain area key (xxx) a certain number if I wanted a certain department". Unfortunately OnStar does not have a key pad, so I wound up unable to make contact

Here it is about four hours later, and I still have not been able to make contact with MTS service.

It would be appreciated if you could shed some light on this situation.

As a senior citizen; it makes me feel vulnerable, and that thought concerns me about our safety

I'm wondering when there will be a 411 cell phone directory?

POSTAL CODES MISSING 2009-10

Turn in your Old Yellow Pages as the New Yellow Pages are out. Except this year, 2009 the Postal Code pages are shown on the inside cover (teal blue section between Wpg Transit and Alpha Index) but they are strangely absent. OOoops. Human error, sure glad I did Not pay to advertise in such an inept attempt at printed information.

I have gone to hospitals, libraries and recycle drop offs. The Old yellow page books have been gutted and their postal codes sections removed. Someone, suggested I contact MTS Customer Service to request the Postal Code Section for 2009-10 (as indicated in the 'New Yellow Pages'. I hope this helps. What do you want for free? Cell Phone Service in the Emerson Area

I am writing this e-mail to complain "bitterly" about the cell phone service in my area. I live in the Town of Emerson and my work takes me approximately 5 miles east of Emerson and 5 to 6 miles north of the United States Border. Can you please tell me why, when I am calling a local number in the Emerson area on my pre-paid cell phone, that the American Roaming Network comes on board and I cannot call my number? Also, the only way possible for me to try to get through to the number is by calling long distance on my cell phone.(and this does not always work) This is totally ridiculous and costly to me.

I want MTS to allow customers to block all calls from a given phone number. This would be very simple for you. It should be offered without cost to the customer.

Past time for this service to be implemented

With the number of computer-generated calls from both Canada and the U.S. increasing all the time, I spend more time answering spam calls than actually communicating. Wouldn't it free up resources for the company to have a free incoming-call blocker?

They used to allow this and had this feature

They used to offer this service and took it away for some reason. With all the spam calls I have been getting lately, I am switching back to Shaw since they do have this feature now.
